Taking place in our restaurant, this small, hands-on masterclass is perfect for anyone interested in fermenting their own drinks, or vegetables.
Each workshop is seasonal and will focus on fermentation of vegetables and fruits available at that time of year. With different recipes available, why not attend both?
Under the guidance of Head Chef Matthew Briddon learn all you need to know about fermenting the best of the season's vegetables and fruits to make your own drinks, kimchi, sauces and more.
The day includes refreshments, a delicious lunch in Iford Manor Kitchen’s restaurant and all materials and ingredients required for the course.

Taking place in our restaurant, this small, hands-on masterclass is perfect for beginners, as well as those wishing to improve their bread-making skills.
Award-winning Head Chef Matthew Briddon will teach you all you ‘knead’ to know about getting started, or improving your sourdough game.
The day includes refreshments, a delicious lunch in Iford Manor Kitchen’s restaurant and all materials and ingredients required for the course.
You will learn how to:
- start and care for a sourdough mother;
- make a simple, white sourdough loaf;
- make olive bread;
- conjure up sourdough dough balls (perfect for Saturday night pizza!);
- use up leftover mother to make sourdough crackers (for cheese & crackers); and
- Tips and tricks for kneading, shaping, scoring and baking.
Take home with you:
- Iford sourdough starter for you to use and look after at home;
- 4 sourdough recipes; and
- your own loaf of sourdough made by you on the day

Book nowHave you ever wanted to be able to make your own pasta? Taking place in our restaurant, this small, hands-on masterclass is perfect for anyone interested in learning to make their own pastas and sauces from scratch.
The day will consist of a hands-on demo with head chef Matthew Briddon who will show you how to make, shape, stuff and cut fresh pasta as well as a selection of accompanying sauces and garnishes.
The course shows you how to make 12 different fresh pasta shapes including Pappardelle, Raviolis, Fettuccine, Pici, and a selection of sauces and pesto’s to compliment.

Book nowGet ready for the outdoor cooking season with this special demonstration from live-fire specialist Head Chef Matthew Briddon. This workshop will take place on the restaurant terrace of Iford Manor Kitchen.
Not only do we cook on our wood and charcoal fired Bertha every day here in our kitchen at Iford, but Matthew was one of the chefs who first brought Meatopia to the UK and has done live cooking there many times.
This workshop promises to provide you with all the hints and tips you need for an excellent live-fire season creating delicious food, whether on a BBQ, Big Green Egg, Bertha or other live-fire.
At Iford we also make our own sausages and Matthew, both our butcher and Master Charcutier, will talk you through making your own sausages at home.
