In 2016 she and her husband Luke, Earl of Sandwich, took on the stewardship of Mapperton and its 1,900 acres of gardens and wildlands. Since then, they have been restoring rooms, reviving forgotten relics, welcoming visitors, launching a rewilding project and sharing it all on their popular YouTube channels @MappertonLive and @AmericanCountess.
Julie is no stranger to TV and has hosted her own series on the Smithsonian Channel, and those who saw Iford on Saving Country Houses with Penelope Keith on Channel 4 will doubtless recognise Julie and Mapperton who were also featured on the show.
