30 September - Bradfordian Paul Weiland OBE: A Garden Love Story (Belcombe Court)

Paul Weiland OBE joins Marianne Cartwright-Hignett in conversation about his new book, A Garden Love Story. (Welcome drink included)

Paul's journery moves from London; where he directed for commercials, TV and film, including iconic episodes of Mr Bean, Blackadder and much more; to Belcombe Court in Bradford on Avon set within 60 acres of parkland, which he and his wife Caroline first called home 30 years ago.

Together, they have transformed the historic estate and former clothier's house into a beautiful garden blending 18th centure charm with contemporary elegance, where history, imagination, and
horticulture flourish side by side. Despite initially not knowing much about gardening, the couple have worked tirelessly to restore the house and grounds. In 2024 Belcombe Court was crowned winner of the Historic Houses Garden of the Year award (Judge's Choice).

Beautifully illustrated, his book tells the story of a remarkable house and its gardens, tracing
their history and following the rhythm of the seasons as they flourish throughout the year.

There will be opportunities to meet Paul before and after the event, with book signings and sales taking place at the end of the evening.
