In the casita….
The acclaimed jazz-vocalist, Jacqui Dankworth, is joined by a stellar line-up of musicians for a very select number of tour dates, including Iford!
In these very special and intimate concerts, audiences will be treated to a sparkling collection of songs drawn from her highly praised studio albums, including music from her much-anticipated forthcoming album ‘Windmills’, as well as tracks that have inspired her incredible career.
Firmly established as one the country’s leading vocalists, Jacqui’s live concerts showcase her unique versatility and effortless mastery of a wide spectrum of genres, drawing on her roots in jazz, but also folk, soul, and blues, as well as her acute sensibility as a songwriter and lyricist.
Precede the concert by picnicking in the beautiful Grade 1 listed gardens and enjoy a wander through the various water features, columns and antiquities, before heading to the casita.
"Had I not been sitting about three feet away from the action, I would have suspected some kind of electronic trickery because the arrangement was so complex, the timing so nifty and Ms Dankworth’s vocal control so exquisite"
The Observer
“One of our finest singers, regardless of category”
Sunday Times
“Jacqui Dankworth doesn’t confine herself to singing jazz; she is gracefully at ease in folk music and semi classical contexts, as well as being an imaginative interpreter of standards. But in all her incarnations, she exhibits a subtle control of dynamics and a voluptuous tonal richness that seems to make almost any material sound special”
The Guardian
